Information we collect

Highlight Signal may collect account information, website URLs, analytics data, search performance data, and messages you send to us when you request support, demos, integrations, or collaboration.

How we use information

We use information to provide analytics, SEO intelligence, AI visibility insights, product support, security, service improvement, and communication related to Highlight Signal.

How we share information

We do not sell your data or any Google user data, and we do not share Google user data with third parties for advertising purposes.

We share data only with the service providers that help us operate Highlight Signal — for example, our hosting/database infrastructure and the email infrastructure we use to deliver account and product notifications. These providers may only use the data to provide services to us, under obligations consistent with this policy.

We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Highlight Signal, our users, or the public.

How we protect your data

All traffic between your browser, Highlight Signal, and Google's APIs is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to stored data — including Google account connection tokens — is restricted to the systems and personnel that need it to operate Highlight Signal.

Our use of Google Analytics data is scope-limited: we request only the read-only Google Analytics scope (analytics.readonly) needed to sync your GA4 reporting data, and we never request write access to, or modify, your Google Analytics account.

Data retention and deletion

We retain Google user data — such as your Google Analytics connection and the reporting data synced from it — for as long as your workspace keeps that connection active and your account remains open.

If you disconnect a Google Analytics connection in Highlight Signal, or revoke Highlight Signal's access from your Google Account, we immediately stop syncing any new data from that property.

You may request deletion of your Google user data and any associated account data at any time by contacting hank.highlight@gmail.com. We will delete the requested data within 30 days of a verified request, except where we are required to retain it by law.
